Caracalla, 198-217. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.88 g, 12 h), Laodicea ad Mare, 200. ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. P MAX TR P III Roma seated left on shield, holding Victory in her right hand and spear in her left. BMC 716. Cohen 181. RIC 342b. Lightly toned. Minor die wear and a light scrape on Caracalla's cheek, otherwise, very fine.
